La piccola Maddie Harrington si presenta a casa di Ally sostenendo di essere sua figlia. Viene cosė alla luce un retroscena del passato di Ally: l'avvocatessa 10 anni prima aveva depositato in una sorta di "banca" alcuni suoi ovuli. Il padre di Maddie č morto da sei mesi e la piccola vive ora con una zia che fa la cantante di vecchie sigle televisive in un night club. Maddie vuole rimanere a Boston con Ally e la cosa finisce per essere risolta in tribunale. Richard rappresenta in tribunale un marito che ha ucciso sua moglie con un colpo in testa dopo averla scambiata per un pallone da calcio. John non crede che Richard possa vincere questa causa, ma inaspettatamente Fish riesce a spuntarla.
