La top model Maddie Hayes, al ritorno da una crociera, scopre che il suo agente l'ha ingannata e truffata. Rimasta al verde si trova costretta a chiudere tutte le sue attività, compresa l'agenzia investigativa che aveva acquistato anni prima. Sarà il detective David Addison a convincerla a tenere l'agenzia. Nasce così la "Blue Moon Investigation", la società investigativa diretta da Maddie e David.

In Italia è stato trasmesso anche con il titolo "Agenzia Luna Blu".
